This is an inspiring film that offers hope to our youth, especially to those whose lives may seem hopeless. The acting was good and the message was wonderful. I think this is a good movie for families to see. There's nothing bad in it at all.

Akeelah and The Bee
Lots of issues showed in this movie like death of a parent, death of a child, murder, intelligence, not fitting in, winning or losing, and confidence level through a competing situation. Some of the ending winning of the Bee was unexpected. This movie is about achieving something. Akeelah, a school student who doesnt attend her classes or study, happens to be good at spelling. Struggling with her family situation she gets guidance and support to make her way up.

Yeah, I agree with you! This is a good movie to inspire our youth especially those who are still unaware of their latent potential. Everyone has a talent and it should be inveiled and harnessed. In this movie, Akeelah is good at spelling and she was trained by her teacher to be better. She was challenged during the competitions that she attended. Everytime, she managed to proceed to the next level, she learned something. Learning; that is the most important part of life. It helps us to be better; to become winner at the end of the day. We are not born as winner but we all can be one. Our effort and perseverence is the quintessential part so that we all can achieve something in our life and later on make our life a history. We must leave an examplary mark behind and that is the true meaning of leaving life as human. Such a great message is portrayed in this movie. Everyone sholud watch it.
